Website design for small business industries, trade by trade

The $99/month program is the same for every business. What changes from one trade to the next is what the three pages need to say, and what a visitor needs to be able to do on them.

One program

How one program fits different trades

A plumber, a clinic and a café get the same deliverables: three custom-designed pages, written content, a contact form, call and WhatsApp buttons, basic SEO setup and ongoing management. The difference is in what goes on those pages and what comes first.

During onboarding we ask about your services, your customers and your service area, and plan the three pages around how people in your trade decide. For urgent repairs that means a call button on every screen. For a clinic it means clear information before anyone books. For a restaurant it means the menu and opening hours, readable on a phone.

When a trade needs more than three pages can do, such as online booking, an online store or a customer login area, it is added as a quoted additional service. The monthly price does not change.

Preparation

What to gather, whatever your trade

  • The services you want to be found for, in the words your customers use.
  • The area you cover: towns, a radius or the whole country.
  • Licenses, certifications or memberships you can show, with numbers where your trade displays them.
  • Real photos of your work, premises or team, if you have them.
  • How and when you want people to contact you.

By industry

What a website has to do in each trade.

Home Services

Many home-service calls are urgent, so the phone number and a call button should be visible on every screen without scrolling. State your service area plainly, by town or county, so people outside it do not waste a call. If you take emergency work, say exactly what that means: which hours, which jobs, and whether a call-out charge applies. Avoid "24/7" unless someone really answers at 3 AM. List services by the problem people search for, such as a leaking water heater or no heat, and show license details where your state requires them.

Construction & Trades

Contractors are usually chosen on trust and evidence, over days or weeks rather than minutes. The site should show finished work in real photos, grouped by type of project, and explain how a job runs from the first visit to handover. Say what size of job you take on and where, so a homeowner with a small repair and a developer with a new build can both tell whether you fit. A quote request form asking for project type, location and rough timing saves site visits for work you would turn down. Include license and insurance details where you hold them.

Healthcare & Clinics

Patients want to know three things quickly: what you treat, whether you accept their insurance or how payment works, and how to book. Put those near the top, with your address, parking and accessibility details. Online booking and intake forms are useful, but health information carries legal obligations of its own, such as HIPAA in the US, and a standard contact form or WhatsApp chat is not the place for symptoms or records. Check your obligations with a qualified professional before collecting anything clinical online. Practitioner names, qualifications and real photos help patients choose.

Legal & Professional

People looking for a lawyer, accountant or consultant are often worried and comparing several firms. A plain-language list of practice areas lets them see quickly whether you handle their kind of matter. Explain how a first consultation works and whether it is charged. Profiles of the people they would actually deal with matter more than a firm history. Keep the enquiry form brief, and say on it that sending a message does not make someone a client and that confidential details should wait until you reply. Many professions have their own advertising rules, so check yours with your licensing body.

Real Estate

An agent's site has to work alongside the big listing portals rather than compete with them. Its job is to show why someone should list with you or buy through you: the neighborhoods you know, how you price and market a property, and how to reach you directly. A home valuation request form is often the most useful enquiry for a listing agent. If you want live listings on your own site, that means connecting to your MLS or listing provider, which is quoted as an additional service. Show your license details the way your state requires.

Restaurants & Cafés

Most visitors want the menu, the hours and the address, usually on a phone while deciding where to go. Put the menu on the page as text, not a PDF, so it loads quickly, reads without zooming and can be found by search engines. Keep hours current, holidays included, because wrong hours send people to a closed door. A map, parking notes and a call button cover the rest. If you take reservations or orders, link to the system you already use, or add a booking system as a quoted service. Mark common allergens only if you can keep that information accurate.

Retail & Local Shops

For a local shop, the website often decides whether someone makes the trip. Lead with what you sell, the brands or ranges you carry, your address, opening hours and parking. Photos of the shopfront help people recognize it from the street. If customers often ask whether something is in stock, make a call or WhatsApp message easy rather than showing stock levels the site cannot keep current. Selling online is a separate decision: an online store is quoted as an additional service, and it is worth it only if someone will keep products, prices and shipping up to date.

Fitness & Wellness

People choosing a gym, studio or coach want to know what a session is like and what it costs. Show your class types or programs, a timetable that reads easily on a phone, prices or at least how pricing works, and what happens on a first visit. Photos of the real space and real instructors do more than stock images of athletes. A trial or introductory offer gives a hesitant visitor a clear first step. If you sell memberships or class bookings online, a booking or payment system can be added as a quoted service. Avoid health claims you cannot support.

Beauty & Salons

Salon clients book by service and often by person. List services with a duration and a starting price where you can, and introduce the stylists, therapists or barbers so clients can choose. A portfolio of real, recent work matters more here than in most trades. Online booking is often the most useful single addition, because it lets people book outside opening hours; it is available as a quoted service, or the site can link to a booking tool you already use. Make your cancellation and late-arrival policy easy to find, and keep WhatsApp visible for quick questions.

Automotive

A repair shop, detailer or dealer needs the site to answer three questions: what do you work on, where are you, and when can I come in? List your services and the makes or vehicle types you handle, your hours, and whether you take walk-ins or appointments only. Price guidance for common jobs, even as a range, can save calls that all ask the same thing. Clear directions and a map help, because people are usually driving to you. Describe certifications and warranties accurately. Dealers who want live inventory on the site need a connection to their inventory system, quoted as an additional service.

Education & Training

Parents, students and employers want to see exactly what they are signing up for. Each course or program should show its level, format, schedule, length, location or online access, and fees, or a clear explanation of how fees work. Say who teaches and what qualifications they hold. An enrollment or enquiry form should ask only what you need in order to reply, and if you collect information about children, check your legal obligations first. A list of upcoming start dates helps people plan. Accreditation wording should match exactly what the accrediting body allows. Student portals and online payments are quoted additions.

Logistics & Transport

Freight, moving and delivery customers want to know whether you cover their route and handle their kind of load. State the areas and routes you serve, your vehicle types and capacity, and what you do not carry. A quote request form asking for origin, destination, dates and load size saves a round of back-and-forth. Show registration numbers where your sector expects them, such as a USDOT number for interstate carriers in the US, and describe your insurance cover accurately. Movers should explain how estimates work and what can change the final price. Shipment tracking portals are quoted additions.

Questions

No. The program is $99/month for every business, with a 3-month minimum and the same list of deliverables. What differs is how the three pages are planned. If your trade needs extra functionality, such as booking or an online store, that is quoted separately and the monthly price stays the same.
Client work and results will appear on this site only once clients have given permission to publish them, so there is no industry portfolio here to point to. What we can do is walk you through how your three pages would be planned. Ask on a call or on WhatsApp.
It can, but three pages fill up quickly. If you run two distinct businesses, such as repairs and retail, each usually reads more clearly with its own focus. Extra pages are available as a quoted add-on, and the review stage is where you will hear honestly whether three pages are enough.
